TYR – Nudity & Espionage [Bangin New EP]

Appropriately titled “Nudity & Espionage” —  TYR  (18 yr old dubstep & glitch producer) has dropped his first all original EP … it’s dirty enough to make you “take off your pants and dance” + saucy enough to turn you into a..a… spy?

TYR uses his own, glitchy sounding bass wobbles dropped over some really fresh & catchy sampling… making this EP a breed of it’s own amongst the rest of the glitch/dubstep realm.  I enjoy hearing TYR‘s perfectly layered guitar riffs and really heavy drums – jumping, head banging and all out raging are results of listening to “Nudity and Espionage”.

The track titled The Things We Do has some really nice, chilled out sax lines giving this beat that perfect mellow vibe. The entire EP is a smashing listen + a FREE download … thanks TYR !

I was lucky enough to catch up with TYR at his recent gig in Avon, CO @ Agave … it was really cool to meet and chat with him about his music, background and what it’s like being 18. He has close to 60 completed remixes & his originals — his set was carefully crafted and 99% TYR music.  When you speak about progression… these are the individuals that are really pushing the boundaries.  It’s becoming a trend, who will be the next best young-gun  producer, Skrillex was 24 and Madeon at age 18 … this is an exciting time in the history of dance music.  Change and progression are constantly shifting every dance music genre, keep an eye on these new & humble underage cats — they may blow up the scene before you know it.
