When Winter Music Conference and Ultra Music Festival collide, they make Miami the most exciting place for dance music on the planet. Many people skip the festival in favor of attending the numerous after parties, pool parties and day parties. I recommend going to the Ultra at least once, but do not miss the opportunity to party at one of the clubs or poolside in South Beach.

As a reminder, these events are not affiliated with Ultra Music Festival in any way. Having all of the world’s best dj’s together in one place for Ultra and Winter Music Conference, allows Miami to host some incredible parties with even better lineups.

1.) Juicy Beach at Nikki Beach (Day Party)

Juicy Beach is produced every year by legendary producer Robbie River and his wife Monica and hosted at Nikki Beach. The energy of this place is incredible and you cannot go to Miami without taking the time to enjoy South Beach. Nikki Beach is a tropical paradise and retreat for dance music lovers from around the world. You’ll revel in beautiful women, cold drinks and dance music that goes from 1pm – 5AM. Get there early and stay all day.

When & Where: Thursday, March 21, 2013 1pm – 5am at Nikki Beach (South Beach) | 21+

Lineup: Robbie Rivera, Bob Sinclair, Cosmic Gate, Mord Fustang, Manufactured Superstars, Nari & Milani, Moguai, Stefano Noferini, Del Mare, Alex Gaudino, Federic Scavo, MYNC, Sandro Silva, David Jones, David Solano and more.

Tickets: Phase two are only $80 and available through Wantickets. There is a very high sellout risk for this event as it’s become a mainstay during WMC.

2.) Skrillex & Friends Yacht Party (Day Party)

Spend a day on a private yacht with Skrillex, Crookers, Congorock, 12th Planet, Alvin Risk and Koan Sound. All of the artists will be playing back-2-back and since it’s WMC you can expect guest appearances and more than a few surprises. Artists love to test out new material in intimate settings like this.

When & Where: Thursday, March 21, 2013 3pm – 8pm on a Yacht | 21+

Lineup: Skrillex, Crookers, Congorock, 12th Planet, Alvin Risk and Koan Sound

Tickets: $162 plus fees and available for purchase through Wantickets. It may seem like a lot, but you’re on a private yacht in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Ball out.

3.) JACKED Label Showcase @ Mansion Nightclub (Afterparty)

Even though he just recently wrecked his Ferrari, Afrojack is still one of the icons of electronic dance music. This after-party will be one of the most talked about events for months to come. It will sellout. Mansion Nightclub is aptly named because when you enter the door, it’s like entering a mansion with all of the grandeur and splendor you would expect. Some clubs try too hard with flash and gimmicks. Mansion doesn’t have to.

Details: Saturday, March 23, 2013 10PM – 5AM at Mansion Nightclub (South Beach) | 21+

Lineup: Afrojack, Quintino, Shermanology, Bobby Burns, Leroy Styles and Zawdi MC

Tickets: $165 + fees making it one of the most expensive after parties you may ever attend. It’s WMC, it’s Ultra and these truly are once in a lifetime experiences. Purchase through Wantickets.

4.) Size Matters Label Showcase @ Fontainebleau Ocean Lawn (Day Party)

The Fountainebleau Ocean Lawn is another prime example of the execessive luxury found in South Beach. Pristine grass with ocean view and the cool breeze flowing in off of the waves. You’ll be treated to the curated sound off from the artists that make up Size Matters, one of my favorite niche dance music labels. AN21 & Max Vangeli + Thomas Gold make this a must attend party.

Lineup: Steve Angello, Thomas Gold, AN21 & Max Vangeli, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Third Party, Riva Starr and Wayne & Woods.

5.) Kaskade (Afterparty) @ STORY Nighclub (Fri, Mar 15, 2013) / LIV Nightclub (Fri, Mar 22, 2013)

Kaskade brings out all of the Freaks of Nature whenever he plays a set in Miami. In a club setting he’ll deviate from the familiar #KMM mashups into different sounds creating an unforgettable experience. You’ll be dancing off of pure adrenaline and excitement and when you do eventually leave either STORY or LIV, the sun will be rising and you’ll question whether it all really happened.

Lineup: Kaskade will spin the entire night. Yes… that’s how incredible it will be.

6.) Anjuna Beats Volume 10 Pool Party (Day Party)

If you haven’t already downloaded Anjuna Beats Volume 10 you need to stop what you’re doing, stream both mixes and make sure to press replay a few times on Above & Beyond’s new track “Walter White”. You have the chance to chill out at The National Pool and enjoy some trance music in one of the most beautiful places in America.

Details: Saturday, March 16, 2013 – 12PM – 10PM at The National Hotel (South Beach) | 21+

Lineup: Mat Zo, Seven Lions, Norin & Rad, Andrew Bayer, Jaytech, Major Levi and Beckwith.

Tickets: Buy now for only $45.40 + service fees make this one of the most affordable and high value pool parties at Ultra / WMC. If you’re staying close by The National you can also catch R3HAB and Friends on Mar 17.

7.) Circle Talent Agency Label Showcase (Day Party) @ The Shelbourne

If you’re craving dubstep, electro, house and trap music, then you need to head to the Circle Talent Agency label showcase. You’ll be treated to sets from legends like Flux Pavilion, Doctor P and Datsik while also being able to checkout newcomers like Carnage and Lucky Date. This event is packing premium value with early bird tickets priced around $25. Where else can you see a lineup like this for under $30?
