According to sonicagenda.com, the University of Massachusetts administration decided to cancel two huge upcoming shows at the university; Above&Beyond and Pretty Lights.
NV Concepts, a New England-based concert promoter released a statement today in response to the cancellations. They stated that even though this wasn’t a decision made by them, they offer their sincerest apologies to students and EDM fans for “yet another lost opportunity to enjoy the music that you love.”
Naturally, students are upset by the news, the lack of respect, and apparently feared rave drug scene by the administration. DJ DSK CHK had some pretty powerful words for the high ups at UMASS.
NV Concepts says they are trying hard to relocate the shows and will announce the new venues. In the mean time, students definitely have an opportunity to voice their opinions on the cancellations and issues surrounding the ignorance of ill or uninformed people about the rave scene.
