Wow it has been a crazy three weeks. With EDC NY, Shaky Beats, Sunset Music Festival, and Summer Camp Music Festival just to name the few that we covered recently, it has been crazy to say the least (which is why we missed last week’s edition, oops). So sit back and relax to our pics for this week for some amazing artists that you’ve heard of, and some that you really need to check out.
Skizzy Mars – “Alcoholics” (Fareoh Remix)
Premiered on Thissongissick, Brooklyn, NY native Fareoh brings us a new track following his release of “Cloud Ten” with his remix of Skizzy Mar’s “Alcoholics.” The smooth piano and synths layered over the vocals of the original track create a melodic rendition. As soon as it starts guitar plucks grace this track instantly giving it a smooth vibe. Artists who incorporate instrumentals have always been a welcome ear catcher. The drop after the first set of lyrics packs a punch while still keeping with a light melody and has us thinking of roof top chilling on summer nights.
Ben Maxwell – Feel U
Bay Area native Ben Maxwell began generating noise all over the industry with his remix of Dillon Francis’ “Bruk Bruk”. Since then he’s been perfecting his future bass craft and unleashing tracks. Just under a month ago he premiered one of his most listened to originals, “Feel U”. The future bass powerhouse will leave you with a melodic feel while singing along to the catchy, chopped up vocals. Containing some hard hitting percussions and upbeat chords, “Feel U” is shaping up to be one of Maxwell’s biggest tracks yet. Maxwell is relatively new on the scene, however that doesn’t stop him from earning a well earned spot in Unwind The Mind.
Sam Feldt – Shadows Of Love (Mahama Remix)
The Wiesbaden, Germany native duo are back with a beauty. Taking Sam Feldt’s “Shadows Of Love” with the beautiful vocals of Heidi Rojas and transforming that tropical notion into a silky smooth melodic melody. The vibe has changed, but the vocals not one bit, which is what a true remixer can do.
Embody – Dreamin’ (jackLNDN Remix)
Our British mate jackLNDN is back, with a remix that we overlooked with the flood or recent festivals, but we would never overlook. This time coming with a remix of Embody’s “Dreamin”. With an electro-pop feel of vocals, with just the right touch of bounce and bass, mixed with swooning synths, sway your head, tap your foot, or get up and shuffle if you’re done unwinding, because this one fits all.
Andrew Luce – All Eyes On Her
Would you like a cup of tea? Because the newest track from Andrew Luce is going to transport you into a magical bamboo forest in Japan. And that’s all we need to say. Check it out.
KRNE x Ghasper – Fake Friends [SESSIONS_3.3]
