Fell a bit ill this week but great tunes certainly came across our table. I’m curious to see what new genres will be born in 2016, I’m looking for hints of it. I have some ideas of what sounds currently may develop and become big next year, but can only know when it all pans in time. Future bass and alternative / indie / electronic sounds mostly found their way into this week’s Unwind The Mind, two electronic genres currently at their peak, enjoy your weekened and tune into the relaxing, chill tunes below.
PatrickReza – Escape (Feat. Aubren Elaine)
“Escape (Feat. Aubren Elaine)” proves that PatrickReza is sticking around for the long run. The solo producer continues to pair quality productions with singers that stand out, forming unforgettable experiences with a focus on modern genres. “Escape (Feat. Aubren Elaine)” tackles future bass and hit’s the spot.
Galantis & Hook N Sling – Love On Me
I love nearly everything that Galantis makes, this time they’d paired themselves with none other than Hook N Sling to create a chill pop tune with sprinkles of piano house throughout. “Love on Me” certainly shows their affection for nu-disco as well. An added bit of steel drums in the drop make the tune edgy and infectious. “Love On Me” is where it’s at.
Aristo G – Something About You
“Something About You” brings a dose of needed energy to this list combining a mutilated, lower toned vocal sample layered with a quick-paced future house drop. The tune is chill pop work of art fit for Miami, Cali, or any person who loves good feeling chill vibes. Aristo G knows how to put together a good house track.
Matt Kali – Don’t Make Me
“Don’t Make Me” takes the playlist in a sexier, more introverted direction. Highlighting the alt / indie / electronic vibe that’s everywhere right now, but certainly takes it down a notch, adding that sensualism in the voice, rhythm and melody. (Damn son.) Matt Kali hasn’t crossed my path before, but I’m certainly glad he has, this dude’s track’s speak volumes.
TastyTreat X Kid Lizard – U And Me Ft. Madi & Malcolm Anthony
“U And Me Ft. Madi & Malcolm Anthony” is one of my favorite tunes on the list. TastyTreat and Kid Lizard bring together uplifting hip-hop, future bass, and superb arrangement (as well as creativity, to make a tune that not only has a good shot at reaching over 1m plays, but would kill it on USA radio if it had the chance. Super impressed with this one.
Stephen – Crossfire (Kwon Remix)
Stephan is sort of this semi-underground artist that’s should be getting more attention than he is right now, Kwon enhances one of Stephen’s best tunes to date “Crossfire”. Giving it an positive but mysterious vibe, a interesting juxtaposition compared to the original and other remixes of this tune out there.
