The next mentally addicting and catchy track from Dirtybird Records comes to us from Vangelis Kostoxenakis with Pay My Bills EP. Having previously released tracks on a slue of labels including Moon Harbour, Kling Klong, Snatch!,Toolroom, and Talk of the Town, the Greek native Vangelis out of Athens has a long track record and support across sub-genres.
The title track “Pay My Bills” starts off with a funky rise, elevating into cymbal-synths filled with vocals that better be given attention, fool, and as if we hadn’t listened, the drop gets warped and weird as if we hadn’t. “Gifted Generation” takes three different and distinct layers and mesh them into a BPM harmony of repetitious vocals, alarming rises, and unconventional twists.
