Sweeping through speakers all over the globe this week is “Selfish,” a well and truly fabulous release from Vargas & Lagola. Having written together for the past few years, you will have heard their songwriting on tracks by the likes of Madonna and the late Avicii – the latter they featured with for “Friend Of Mine.”
Earlier this year saw the release of “Roads,” and they continue with a folk/pop hybrid in the form of “Selfish.” This charismatic guitar-led single is bursting with powerful vocals. The duo wants to convey this message to listeners when they hear it: “You can’t change what’s going on around you until you start charging what’s going on within you. Self-love can be a revolution.”
