Varien’s ‘The Ancient & Arcane’ Will Make You Spiritually In-Tune

I think Varien just became my favorite Monstercat artist.

His latest album The Ancient & Arcane contains a well-conveyed spiritual theme throughout. A theme that is all it’s own, yet relatable at the same time.

I think the key to each track being able to stand on it’s own two feet is the level of technically Varien was sure to include within them. For example, “Snowlight” has elements similar sounding to “The Ancient & The Arcane” but both are easily heard as two seperate, very original tracks – the balance of different-yet-familiar Varien was able to make visible in The Ancient & Arcane is breathe-taking.
