Known for remixing old school hits and turning them into future bass bangers, LA-based producer VenessaMichaels is at it once again. Only this time, she is cooking up an entire EP titled Now That’s What I Call 2090. It will include a handful of bouncy remixes of iconic anthems, all of which influenced Venessa while growing up. The EP, set to be released in early Summer, is sure to reflect what influences her the most – the 90s, of course!
The first track to be released off of the upcoming EP is a remix Venessa put together of Sean Paul’s 2002 hit titled, “Get Busy.” Not only did the song get a total transformation, but it also got one of the most creative music videos ever. Complete with twerking luchadors in just about every scene, the video is supposed to be fun and highlight the importance of letting loose. One of the coolest parts about the entire project is the fact that it was put together solely by minorities, mostly women. It was extremely important to Vanessa that she show the creative capability every single person has to offer no matter his or her skin color or gender. Check out the craziness below!
