Wavefront Music Festival is all the buzz in Chicago these days, with Spring Awakening and EDC now behind us. The diverse music festival released its daily lineup earlier this week, and has released single day tickets (in addition to 3-day and VIP passes, which are still available). We’ve provided a day-by-day breakdown of what you can expect.
Friday: You’ll first witness Cedric Gervais, Chris Lake, and TJR on The Wave stage, featuring a 50-foot-tall tidal wave. Meanwhile, the edgy and ever-inspiring female DJs Magda and Maya Jane Coles will rock The Cube, which is designed to emulate a 3D game of Tetris. Spybar, known to showcase underground electronic dance music, will present a special lineup from James Murphy’s DFA Records.
Saturday: Every attendee owes it to himself to check out the Chicago Heritage stage, celebrating the birthplace of house music with its legendary forefathers including Frankie Knuckles, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Gene Farris, Jamie Principle, Ralphi Rosario, Teri Bristol & Psycho Bitch, Mike Serafini and more. Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves, and Lee Curtiss will create a clubbing experience on the beach at Visionquest 13.
Sunday: Spybar will once again show off some unique talents in dance music by hosting the Crew Love stage. Wolf + Lamb and Soul Clap will be present. While the more discerning crowd will be checking out Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream (named after his acclaimed concept party), you can bet that the teeny-boppers will be camped out at the XIV Wavefront Sessions stage, with Justice, Diplo, and a flurry of fireworks.
Best of all, for those who can’t be in Chicago, AXS TV will broadcast Wavefront Music Festival LIVE on national television to over 40 million homes. Wavefront artists including Jacques Lu Cont, Caspa, Bad Boy Bill and Fatboy Slim will be broadcast LIVE from Chicago on Saturday, July 6 beginning at 6:30pm ET / 5:30pm CT / 3:30pm PT.
