It’s been been about five months since we saw Weiss premiere his first track on Dirtybird’s The New Years Special, Vol. 2 “Walk With Her” that helps to promote great new talent. And the big bird Claude VonStroke must have liked what he heard, because the UK-born Weiss is back with his first EP on Dirtybird with Change Dat that will surely get you grooving.
The EP is composed of two tracks. The title track is full of whispers, gulping vocals (change dat), and stretching synths that rise into a rising swarm of bees that rolls in to a vibrating bass line that will have you grabbing your chest. “Charlie Brown” brings the funk that the birds love, with retracting synths, curious bass lines, and the vibe of a whacky freak show that you can’t get enough of.
