Bassment Saturdays have a huge reputation for bringing out some of the hardest hitting and influential artists in the scene today, which has only been reinforced by their latest announcement of dubstep heavyweight Dr. Ozi, supported by up and coming LA duo We’re Not Friends.
Dr Ozi is perhaps best known for his recent work with Never Say Die Records, where he has been releasing complex and heavy tunes that assault the listener with basses that inspire intense non-stop headbanging. Though Dr Ozi’s sound is similar to some other Never Say Die artists, his affinity for diverse concepts and progressive arrangements help him to stand out in the crowd.
We’re Not Friends only started releasing music this year, but have already been making some big waves with a string of intense and incredibly creative tunes, which have been supported by artists like Lil Jon, Dirt Monkey, Miji and more. More than anything the duo’s success can be attributed to their unique approach to sound design, and their willingness to push the boundries of their genre.
Playing Webster Hall will be the first time the artists visit the big apple, setting the stage for what promises to be a wild night that will continue to cement the duo’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with.
