With his latest EP, www, wev provides listeners with a varied assortment of vibes. While kicking off minimally, “find yourself” progressively gets deeper, with throbbing dark basslines. “hsl” follows up with a contemporary twist on a classic sound of house, maintaining a solid groove. The artist then uses the lush synths of “close 2 me (Feat. Adeline Um)” to provide a soothing, laid-back feel. From start to finish, wev displays his diversity within the sub-genres of house music.
Further presenting his creativity, wev designed the artwork for the project, created a nostalgic visual for ‘find yourself,’ a line of merch and built an immersive visual experience. The desktop version of the site allows viewers to zoom in or out, click, and drag and scroll to interact with his Infinity Plane while maintaining interactivity for mobile users as well. This is just the foundation of the powerful visual component wev has in store to coincide with his music.
