This past week What So Not took over the decks at MistaJam’s Daily Dose BBC 1Xtra show in order to drop the latest installment of OWSLA’s After Dark series. The hour long mix showcased the group’s all-over-the-map style, with tracks ranging everywhere from Toto (Yes, I mean THAT Toto) to Flosstradamus. What’s even more impressive is that most of the songs in this mix were edited, reworked, or remixed by the members themselves, further exemplifying their trademark ability to blend diverse sounds together seamlessly.
Among the tracks played our favorites ares “Jaguar,” “Touched,” and a Branchez remix of their latest offering, “High You Are”. Along with this come some notable remixes such as their “Get Free” remix which helped them gain popularity initially, and Flume’s remix of Disclosure’s “You & Me”.
It’s safe to say that this mix is jam-packed with amazing tunes to vibe to from two of today’s most rapidly rising names in the scene. While it is not available for download yet, you can stream it on BBC 1Xtra’s website to hold you over until its official release. Enjoy!
