Tech house is always a go-to for deep-focus work sessions, a release from tension-educing sets at festivals, and generally for relaxing chill-out breaks. Acts ranging from Marcus Schössow to Eric Prydz fill the spectrum with continuous blossoming creativity that stands on its own.
WhiteRice may be on similar path, a tech house artist with many influences, the Philly artists has a few stepping stones that have led up to the revealing of his latest, “Work,” a chill tune bursting with influences of funk, disco, early 90’s r&b, tech house, and UK garage.
Starting in 2016, WhiteRice ended up catching the eye of local Philly collective birdUP, known for showing a mixture of local talent and filtered special guests. The experience here opened doors for “Work” to be conceived.
From there, moments of support and acceptance have put a fresh-spotlight on WhiteRice as we enter mid-2018. More from him is in the works.
