The holidays might be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean we are short of presents coming in. Luckily, Will Clarke and Sacha Robotti decided to team up to gift their Dirtybird fam their new single, “Pimp Da Hose.” Both artists have had a huge year, with each releasing incredible original music, completing successful solo tours, and appearing on some of the world’s biggest festival stages and most beloved underground clubs. Check out both of our interviews with Clarke and Robotti to see what they have been up to and what we can look forward to in 2018.
It was only a matter of time before these house and techno heavy-hitters came together again to spin together their unique styles. “Pimp Da Hose” starts off with a classic house beat before they layer jittery voices and noises behind the main line of the track, “pimp da hose”. Of course, it wouldn’t be Dirtybird without adding in warping and strained synth chords and off kilter notes. We’ve been bumping this on repeat and it definitely holds it’s worth against our crazy holiday routines. We advise that if you expose this to your relatives, say your Grandma, that they need to be ready to find a chair because it will definitely knock them on their ass.
