In hopefully the last chapter of the recent “Will.i.am steals from Arty and Mat Zo” saga, the Interscope Records artist decided to go on camera in a last ditch attempt to absolve the controversy.
If you look on the album there’s credit. You can’t steal if you credited somebody. -Will.i.am
He did in fact credit Arty on the album but Mat Zo’s name was nowhere to be found. Will.i.am goes on to blame “legal teams” for not properly clearing the rights and says he didn’t even know Zo collaborated on the track.
I didn’t know. I wasn’t in the room when you made it. You should have told me you had a collaborator.
The simple fact of the matter is that the rights were never cleared through Anjunabeats and Zo didn’t get the credit he deserved. We’ll leave it to you to decide who was in the wrong here.
