After 5 long awaited years, Wolfgang Gartner is back. His 10 track album 10 Ways To Steal Home Plate is now out and hot off the presses (digital presses mostly) and ready to storm your eardrums with a spectra of sound.
Having already released the highly loved and well played “Unholy” in late 2014 which has been included on the album, he’s also brought many other sounds with it.
He starts the album off with, “Turn Up” featuring Wiley & Trina that will get you jumping and jamming from start to finish. More of a club jam to get you hype and start your night off right.
One of our personal favorites off the album is “Saved”. A good electro track with some catchy lyrics and uptempo beat to get you moving your feet and bobbing your head until you’re dizzy. This one is a no brainer, and instantly made me happy that Wolfgang is back.
Another stand out track to me is “Faded” ft. Marc Griffin. A nice funky jam with some male vocals that fit perfectly into groovy sounds of this track. Definitely gives you an old school feel, with some electronic elements intertwined just right.
Finally, rounding out the album is “Up In Smoke”. Definitely a harder hitting track, collaborated with A-Trak and the soulful voice of Sirah 1. It starts off smooth and steady, angelic lyrics crowding your brain as the beat builds and finally drops into a loud and heavy electro smack. A perfect medley of soft and heavy and edgy all in one.
This album definitely hits every genre of electronic, and does it in a way that feels to nonchalant, that feels just right. Check out the album minimix below and buy 10 Ways To Steal Home Plate here.
