When WRLD came on to the scene, I could see he was in-tune with the sphere of the future bass world. His music conveys that the solo producer understands what the core of future bass is about, but also proves he is in-the-know regarding various trends and sub-communities within future bass.
WRLD’s EP gives a shout-out to sub-communities. Some tunes lean more toward Japanese pop while others focus on US trends within recent future bass. I feel like this is WRLD indirectly praising the sub-groups for the innovation they have inspired over the long-term.
One element that is singular is WRLD’s exciting, original energy that is displayed throughout – not a dull moment to be found, even for a second.
