Rising progressive/electro house duo, X5IGHT have just released an original track entitled “Wacky Arms” as a free download, and it is guaranteed to make you want to put your hands up and dance! This tune skillfully blurs the lines between progressive and electro-house, as well as successfully manages to incorporate some Melbourne-style traits, resulting in a careful, yet striking, fusion of genres. Featuring bouncy rhythms paired with a solid kick drum, as well as a catchy, and quirky vocal sample, this track creates a tangible energy that will undoubtedly get things moving on the dance floor.
Since the formation of the duo in 2012, X5IGHT have brought a fresh, and distinctive style to the electronic music scene; artfully breaking down the barriers between genres, as well as boldly stepping out of the ‘bubble’ of commercial house music. In July, they released their debut EP (available here on Beatport), entitled “The Radiance”, which was comprised of 5 original songs. Since then, the Chicago-based producers have released several noteworthy remixes (even pushing their own boundaries with a trap remix of a Katy Perry song), as well as a few collaborative tracks on their SoundCloud. With a growing fan base, X5IGHT is also set to play at SnowGlobe Music Festival at South Lake Tahoe this week.
Time to grab this tune for free, and get wacky!
