If you were a teenager in the mid-2000’s, you probably jammed out to Yellowcard’s “Ocean Avenue” at least a million times (it’s okay, we all did). Kasum is back again to bring us revamped versions of the songs we used to jam way back when, and his latest remix of “Ocean Avenue” has shown that he can raise the bar from his previous remixes.
For this track, Kasum combines both drum n’ bass and dubstep elements for a melody heavy remix with an extraordinary feel to it. It feels like you’re listening to the familiar lyrics over an epic soundtrack. The melody is what really makes this remix stand out, and Kasum did an excellent job of keeping all the great vibes of the original while expanding the potential to fall back in love with an old-favorite.
