Italian DJ/producer Francesco ‘Phra’ Barbaglia has been on a roll as of late, with his latest track “Able To Maximize“, along with its remix package, having been very well-received by the electronic music community, and now having dropped a stellar remix of Young Thug’s catchy tune, “Stoner”. Renowned for his constant deliverance of inventive, and creative tunes, this remix is undoubtedly up to his usual standard, having completely transformed the original at its chilled, slow-grooving pace into a hard-hitting, and vivacious house track.
Revamping the existing Hip Hop elements of the track to add a fresh bout of energy and intensity, Crookers cleverly reworks the smooth vocals into his refashioned version of the original melody, then combining them seamlessly with his classic, bass-abundant and high-energy house music style. Given the nature of the song, Crookers has also expressed some amusement at the way some fans now approach him;
“Being a guy that doesn’t smoke weed, it’s pretty funny that everyone now thinks I’m a fucking stoner. All they want to do is have a blunt with me whenever I play the track.“
