So I was admittedly pretty shocked when I heard that YourEDM was directing their attention to a new venture, their self-titled record label. While I will admit, the track sounds very similar to other electro bangers I’ve heard in the last few months, I give YourEDM Records kudos for putting their name behind a relatively unknown artist to boost the artist’s promotion.
The 5 minute track “Surface” takes listeners on a journey through electro-house with melodies that turn into snares that eventually drop into a cascade of progressive-sounding synths. Can’t wait to see the other releases YourEDM has up their sleeve, aspiring DJs looking for a good transitional song should take a look at “Surface”, as it’s the perfect sound to include in an electro set.
