It’s been a good year for Protohype, it feels like I see him everywhere. His raved releases featured all over the internet make him pretty hard to miss in dubstep culture. The young producer is known for making bass-heavy, face melting tracks with a melodic twist.
With the help of not-so known Logun, the dubstep transformation of DMX’s “Tear it Up” is mind-blowing from beginning to end. There is not much color in the melody, but the sampled chorus followed by the build up will make even the most skeptic listener shed a few fist pumps.
