Hailing from South Korea, Y.U.P. is putting his twist on trap music with Fuck It, a two-track EP that’s as heavy as it is in your face.
“Rolly Polly” is my favorite of the two. The tune pieces together Mad Decent-esqe vocal samples and synths which soon leads to a trippy horn drops, the result is real. The second drop unexpectedly goes hardstyle, forming a quick euphoric and andreinline-infused moment.
YUP has been making a name for himself on the West Coast, recently winning a DJ competition in Seattle and landing handful of shows. He plans to only keep going and growing as we begin the exit 2015.
