Her voice cuts through the gritty yet soulful beats laid down by Jalapeño and Munro, who are fully representing this ground-breaking sound on the other side of the world (Jalapeño is from Australia while Ian Munro is from New Zealand). With a slight mainstream radio flavor to it, “I Don’t Need You” is an undoubted hit in the making.
