Zeal has released his first single “Something About Us”, covering the Daft Punk classic that carries much relevance even today, yet was originally dropped on 2001’s Discovery album. Making more of an experimental expansion of the original rather than a flip, Zeal’s dancy drums and blippy synths express a unique interpretation of the song that your ears will quickly find joy through.
Sleep Moon, who comes in about mid-way through with some organic-feeling guitar licks, adds the topping that makes single well-worthy of a listen (or more.) “Something About Us” certainly pays tribute to a classic dance song in a quality way.
