After recently seeing Zeds Dead rip apart the main stage at Camp Bisco 12, I knew that this duo from Toronto was the real deal. These two guys have always gone against the grain, making bass-heavy music the way they wanted without following any set patterns or formats. Today they grace us with yet another mix: this time, the Altered States Summer Mix.
This mix begins smooth and almost house-y, but what we all love about Zeds Dead is their ability to merge so many genres, at shows, in songs, and of course in mixes. It soon transition into that gritty, robotic bass-heavy sound that Zeds Dead has made their own. From there, the mix just goes all over the place, featuring some trap, future bass, downtempo, drum and bass, mashups, and some tracks you can’t even categorize.
