Canadian bass duo Zeds Dead released some hot news on April 16 in the form of their newest track “Hadouken.” These two pleasantly surprised the internet by not only debuting the track, but by also announcing it is only part of a soon-to-be-released EP on the Mad Decent label. With their last Hot Sauce EP now a year old and only releasing a handful of remixes in the meantime, their uncharacteristically quiet span now seems to reflect the time they spent working on the new EP.
In true Zeds Dead fashion, “Hadouken” is without a true genre. Opening with a calming melody and elements of trap, electro, and dubstep running rampant throughout, “Hadouken” has a tried-and-true ZD feel that fans have come to expect. It’s refreshing to hear such a difference in the first two drops of the track, the latter of which will surely wreak havoc on the festival circuit this summer.
Catch them this summer at Electric Forest, Red Rocks, Tomorrowland, and a bunch of Mad Decent Block Party dates to hear DC and Hooks live. Take a listen below and stay turned to their Facebook in the coming days for free download!
