“Follow” hovers effortlessly in the middle ground between delicate and dominant. Its sensual undercurrent is prevalent, but not overbearing, thanks to the commanding bass and building tempo. The vocals creates a nice contrast against ZES’ rattling basslines and synth heavy structure that will get stuck in your head from first play.
He says of this new release: “Follow stems from the push and pull of a growing online life. Seeing the shifting impact of social interactions as a core theme. The instrumentation features soothing guitar riffs combined with in-your-face synths and percussion as well as a guest vocalist, all wrapped into alternative musical time signatures.”
