Weekdays are hard. You grind yourself day in and day out and find yourself exhausted and at home on the weekend, too tired to want to rage late-night. Dont’ fret, as WRR has compiled the serious, the smooth, the soft, and everything in between into a cool, spontaneous playlist.
Prepare to dive in.
Elaksi – Breakdown
Elaksi is known for dishing out some melancholy/trap sounds, but “Breakdown” takes the vibe in an epic direction with huge, sustain synths and in-your-face, drum effects. The monotone drop hits with power, making the music feel like it complete consumes you.
STWO – Eden (A Sol Mechanic Remix)
The fluid and magical “Eden (A Sol Mechanic Remix)” is one of the chillest tracks on the list. With murky, vibrating chords and a highly-funky beat, A Sol Mechanic keeps great entertainment chugging along.
OBESØN – Mon Amour
The slow and gradual nature of “Mon Amour” makes the track easy to sink into. Can’t put my finger on it, but there’s something particularly enchanting about the feminine vocal sample OBESØN puts on loop.
POLO & Vacant – Would
“Would” starts quiet, adding a new layer of echoey instrumentation every 16-counts, the forthcoming drop tosses the listener into a unique music montage, then soon ending as quickly as it started.
San Holo – Fly (GRMM Remix)
Finishing things on an energetic note GRMM adds a video-game flavor to the critically-acclaimed San Holo original “Fly.” If you’ve never heard of GRMM or San Holo, you should change that today.
