Updated: Afrojack’s ‘Air Guitar’ is out now on Beatport.
After a huge 2012, as well as remarkable opening to 2013 – thanks to the Jacked New Years Eve event in New York City – Afrojack has a lot to be proud of and a lot to look forward to. Just the other day ‘Air Guitar’ was official announced as one of the anthems for Ultra Music Festival 2013. We can add this moment to Nick van de Wall’s ever growing list of achievements.
If you take a listen to the preview below, it may sound familiar. This record was known of as an ‘ID’ for quite a while, but Nick has managed to throw it into many of his sets. ‘Air Guitar’ brings back the hard bleepy electro sounds that made Afrojack the popular producer he is today. But when he steps outside the norm – like he has done with his recent release of ‘As Your Friend’ featuring Chris Brown – fans tend to get rattled. Just remember that it’s all in the spirit of creativity and like I’ve said before, this won’t be the last pure dutch house styled track you hear from van de Wall. Personally, I’m really looking forward to his debut artists album, which is set to release this year and will surely offer a diverse tracklist.
