For anyone who is a part of the “Anjunafamily” you have probably heard the latest compilation of “Anjunabeats vol. 14”. Despite how you may have enjoyed it overall, we feel confident that we can speak for more than ourselves in mentioning a standout track on the mix.
Andrew Bayer dropped a bomb with his new track “Magitek” out now on Anjunabeats. The single starts out with a robotic vowely bass with a touch of delay effects to give it a sense of space. It then builds up and drops into a chunky, gritty, industrial rapid firing bass line. As it progresses we get hit with vocal ad libs that give a widening and thinning feeling to the track. Pumping in and out for an auditory experience you may feel reminiscent of the 2010-2012 complextro era,
The track carries on into the breakdown where it takes a turn from the almost indie electronic to rather uplifting. The top piano melody hits you right in the chest giving you a sense of triumph or hope. The song builds more and more tension before finally giving you the release of the second drop. When it hit and that top piano melody came back in, it took us to a place of complete happiness and love.
We must tip our hats off to Mr. Bayer. He really has outdone himself with this release – it’s easily an instant classic in our book.
