Long time leader of trance music, Armin van Buuren, has announced that he’ll be releasing a compilation album in celebration of A State of Trance 700. The album will include names such as Gareth Emery, Orjan Nilsen as well as ilan Bluestone and will be accompanied by a multi-city, international festival tour.
This massive news has come alongside the release of “Safe Inside You,” a single by Armin under one of his long lost alter egos, Rising Star. This is the first record Armin has released under the moniker Rising Star in roughly thirteen years. Die-hard trance fans will rejoice as they press play because “Safe Inside You” encompasses the tones, style and energy that lead people to fall in love with trance in the first place.
The balance is elegant as Betsie Larkin’s vocals ring alongside stabs of low-end mixed with melodic melancholy which quickly transforms into a brilliant cocktail of colorful, uplifting synth plucks. This release could soundtrack a generation of lost trance bliss and I couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Rising Star productions back into the electronic realm.
Aside from “Safe Inside You” you can expect up to twenty-six exclusive tracks on van Buuren’s forthcoming iTunes compilation, including two new Gaia tunes. There will be two sides to the project, “On the Beach” and “In The Club,” which is available on March 27th.
