DJ, producer, and singer-songwriter Rae teams up with House of Virus to deliver the big room track “Yesterday,” just in time for the opening of Ibiza’s season.
House aficiandos need no introduction to Rae, but for those of you who are unfamiliar with this talented artist, here’s what you need to know. This British beauty based between London and Ibiza has been driving a quality house agenda for some time now, largely under Defected Records’ patronage. Rae was the first female artist to compile and mix the famous Defected In The House compilation in 2011 (with Tokyo In The House), featuring two of her own productions. She then sealed the deal in 2012 with the release of soaring solo escapade, “Another Day.” Her 2015 track “Take Me Away” with DJ SKT took the house world by storm, earning plaudits from Pete Tong, Annie Mac and MK. Most recently, Rae collaborated with UK house music duo Mandal & Forbes on their 2015 hit “That Feeling,” which immediately made a huge impact on dance-floors and went top 20 in the Beatport house charts.
In her latest creation “Yesterday,” Rae and House of Yes skillfully revive old school house vibes and infuse a touch of modern flair to make it their own. Her luscious vocals strung along by deep, streamlined base make you feel as if you’ve time-warped to Space Ibiza in the early ‘90s, and will immediately put a grin on your face. Out now on Armada Deep, this track is booming with a feel-good groove that’s sure to become a favorite amongst house music revelers, especially those hitting the white island for the summer.
You can purchase Rae’s new track “Yesterday” on Beatport.
