Ever since the release of their ‘Take The Redline‘ edit, Baker & Atkinson have received a lot of attention from some of the biggest names in the dance music industry. They have played shows with the likes of Wolfgang Gartner, Cazzette, Fatboy Slim, and Tommy Trash, they have also garnered support from Fred Lilla, Altego, NO_ID and Tiesto. Matter of fact the duo have been featured on Tiesto’s Club Life Podcast on multiple occasions, he even dropped their ‘Take The Redline’ edit at this years Electric Zoo Festival in New York City.
Evan Baker and Tony Atkinson have extraordinary production skills, they have proved it time and time again. This time they display their unique sounds and style through a remix of AN21 & Max Vangeli‘s ‘Bombs Over Capitals’. Using a softer synth they begin by reworking the opening, the break before the first vocal appearance adds a dramatic yet uplifting vibe. What really catches my attention is the way they edit the vocal after the first verse, It provides an electronic feeling which leads directly into a powerful build up and ends with a dance inspired drop. Just when you think the journey is over the duo drop in a breathtaking piano melody, this record really is the full package.
Baker & Atkinson’s ‘Bombs Over Capitals’ remix happens to be part of a Talent House remix competition. The polls are now open on so cast your vote!
