On August 13th at 2:47 PM EST Bassnectar quietly tweeted at deadmau5 stating that he sent an “idea” to his inbox. Naturally this has sparked a conversation within our community about a possible collaboration in the works. The proper blending of Bassnectar and deadmau5’s signature sounds surely has the ability to create a timeless piece of dance music art.
We’re hoping that their effort makes it to the final stages of production, resulting in a release. Though, deadmau5 has a history of scrapping collaborations. Months ago we waited patiently for a mau5 and Armin van Buuren upload that never came. We’re hoping history doesn’t repeat itself in that sense.
