Bassrush Massive Artist Spotlight: G Jones

Bassrush Massive will be taking over Rawhide Event Center in just five days out here in Arizona and we cannot wait! The one day event will host 8 incredible artists and bring together all the basshead headbangers in the area. While getting in the mood for this epic weekend to come, we definitely recommend giving the playlist we curated a listen. It’ll get you familiar with the roster and one specific artist we believe you shouldn’t miss next Saturday – G Jones.

After releasing his first EP back in 2012, the California native has surely taken the electronic dance music by storm. Not only has the young talent become a highly sought after performer, but he has made some killer collaborations with top-of-the-line artists including Bassnectar, Eprom, and DJ Shadow, who called Jones “the most gifted Ableton beat-maker he’s ever seen.” During a time where so many EDM artists sound unusually similar to one another, it’s extremely refreshing to find an artist who radiates originality.

Jones’ music infuses many different genres and takes many different shapes, which is why he is so highly acclaimed. It is the perfect mix of trap, dubstep, bass, and future bass. He has now become a regular playing at festivals like Shambhala, Lightning In A Bottle, and Burning Man, as well as touring in venues all over the world. 2014 saw his first national bussing tour which only led to massive worldwide respect come 2015. His underground sound quickly became something people wanted more of. In 2016 he dropped one of his most successful tracks to date, “Fuck What You Heard,” and it caught the attention of just about everyone who listened. The song easily became a festival anthem with its catchy hook while blending dubstep and hip-hop with a more contemporary style.
