The world fusion electronic music group Beats Antique are renown for being one of the most unique acts in live electronic music, and yesterday they began a Kickstarter campaign to further that trend. In support of their new album ‘A Thousand Faces – Act 1’, Beats Antique, formed of David Satori, Tommy Cappel, and Zoe Jakes, have begun a campaign to gain fan donations that go towards the creation of a new stage production on their upcoming fall tour. Collaborating with the group Obscura Digital, Beats Antique plans to create an immersive interactive experience that will blend music, choreography, and state of the art video projection into their live shows.
The heart of A Thousand Faces is Joseph Cambell’s “The Hero’s Journey” where he explores the monomyth of all cultures. The album combined with our video production brings this story to life, making each member of our audience the hero. We promise this to be a multi dimensional experience you have yet to truly experience from Beats Antique.
Beats Antique has always been independent of a major label, so instead of “selling out” per se they have chosen to go their own route, which then leads to a campaign such as this. However, with already over $16,000 pledged towards their $40,000 goal, it seems that fans of Beats Antique will gladly donate towards this awesome cause. On top of supporting their new live production, donators will receive gifts in return depending on how much they donate. Some gifts include free downloads of unreleased tracks, stickers, a pre-order of the new album and more.
