Premiere: Belanger Drops A Stunning New Remix On Karen Ruimy & Youth’s “ZIK’R West”

A noteworthy addition to Karen Ruimy and Youth’s atypical compilation ZIK’R West, New York-based producer, Belanger, has just unveiled a striking remix of “Buleria”. An intriguing fusion of genres and instruments, this remix is a grooving coalescence of organic synths, bubbly percussion rhythms, and warm basslines. Quite remarkably, this independent producer artfully exhibits features from various subgenres in this track, incorporating soulful elements into the Deep House sound. A lively, and dynamic tune punctuated by exotic vocal samples, “Buleria” is undoubtedly a treat for dance music enthusiasts.

ZIK’R West is a collaborative effort from flamenco dancer, author, and all-around artist, Karen Ruimy, and esteemed producer, Youth, who has done work with several high-profile artists, including Paul McCartney, and The Orb, and is one half of their double album (with its counterpart being ZIK’R East). Integrating dance, and World music, this LP pushes the boundaries of electronic music, and is a refreshing representation of its experimental nature. Other artists to be featured on this album include Groove Armada, Mr. Scruff, Monsieur Adi, and DJ Spinna, just to name a few.
