Break Science Drops Second Single ‘Live Twice’ Off Their Upcoming EP

Break Science, the renowned hybrid producer-instrumentalist duo, is continuing their hot start in 2023 by unveiling their new single, “Live Twice”. The track features Brazilian rapper Niko Is and has upbeat electro-soul components, such as groovy sequences of the guitar. On January 13th, Break Science dropped their first single since 2020, “Mecha Flora”, a fusion of funk and electronic music.

Their new EP, also titled “Mecha Flora,” will officially be released on February 2nd. This EP is a lockdown-era project that showcases the power of live instrument-infused electronic music and its ability to have a meditative and cleansing impact on listeners. It is Break Science’s first extended release since their 2018 album, Grid of Souls.

Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee, the duo behind Break Science, made the most from being quarantined during the COVID-19 pandemic, as they lived close to each other in Denver, Colorado. They used this time to record in remote sessions, taking advantage of Lee’s living room piano and drum set for a more natural process. This approach fueled their artistic energy and electrified the Break Science project.

Their new EP, Mecha Flora, represents the balance between the digital and natural worlds through the duo’s unique interpretation of music. On February 2nd, Deitch and Lee will put Grid Of Souls on display with a headline debut at Denver’s Meow Wolf Convergence Station. Watching Break Science jam out as they perform “Live Twice” will definitely be a highlight of the show.
