Breakaway Music Festival Announces 2016 Dates

Ohio, admittedly, is not a hot-spot for dance music. There is a massive scene here, don’t get me wrong; but dance music is often overshadowed by other genres when it comes to major music festivals in the area. With our fingers crossed, we can say that this is about to change. Prime Social Group just announced today that Breakaway Music Festival will take place at the Ohio Expo Center on August 26th and 27th. The location is perfect as it is essentially a fairgrounds with plenty of space for stages and activities. Breakaway last occurred in 2013 and was the last time the bass music legend Bassnectar played an Ohio festival. With an artist like that in your last lineup, expectations (and speculations) are going to be big.

This festival will be worth traveling for judging from the recent talent that Prime Social Group has been bringing to Ohio (NGHTMRE, Big Gigantic, The Chainsmokers, Infected Mushroom), and there’s no better city than Columbus to host a great Midwest party. Pre-sales go live May 6th at 10am EST and they’ll probably be gone fast.
