Chris Lake has completely made 2018 his year with crowd favorites like “Lose My Mind” and “Turn off the Lights” setting fans ablaze to unforgettable performances at EDC Las Vegas and Holy Ship. Last month he released a killer EP collab with Walker & Royce Close Your Eyes as well as announced his Black Book Experience tour set to kick off in September. Destructo has been busy this year with releasing genre mergers like “Fucking Shit Up” with Busta Rhymes and “Shots to the Dome” with Gerry Gonza. He also set off to curate his new festival and brand All My Friends, making its debut on the seas later this summer.
Now we can finish celebrating the weekend properly with Chris Lake’s latest collab release “Y.O.D.O” with Destructo. The two house heavy hitters throw in their magic touch with a popping rhythm dropping us in before floating synth waves travel into play. They take us down into a badass drop, with lasers and deep bass that get our feet moving like nothing else. The meaning behind the acronym is a mystery, but we find this befitting with the quirky dark style coming through. This track will definitely be getting a lot of air time, whether it’s in the car grooving with your friends or artists throwing out some love in their sets.
