Deadmau5 surprised fans today with an unexpected guest-star on his weekly streamed coffee run – the one, and only Pharrell. The unlikely pair takes us on a 34 minute journey to and from Tim Hortons, chatting about everything from Nintendo and their teenage years, to cars and the evolution of technology. Both Deadmau5 and Pharrell dropped several tidbits of random facts about their pasts, as well as current projects, which was most definitely a treat for fans. It turned out to be Pharrell’s first time at Tim Hortons, but he proved to be a natural, even ordering a caramel apple bagel (note: he then compared it to eating an “Alaskan snow tire”). As expected, the video, although simple, was quite entertaining, and gave fans a chance to see the two musicians outside of the studio.
Last week we had Zedd as the special coffee run guest-star (watch it here), and Deadmau5 has also hinted at having Steve Duda as a future guest. Now with its own clever title sequence, I sure hope that these coffee runs become routine!
