It’s going to start as just a cameo, but Joel’s transition to movies is almost inevitable at this point given his ability to crossover to the mainstream audience. Even if they don’t recognize his music, his relationship with Kat Von D has made Deadmau5 a highly marketable figure.
When you factor in how “the nerd” is now the superhero in films today, it wil be interesting to see where his career will go.

This fall the artist known as deadmau5 will be making a big screen debut in the upcoming film “Runner, Runner” starring Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck.
“Runner, Runner” is a film about a poor college student who gambles to pay for his tuition. Unfortunately the college student (Justin Timberlake) gets more than he bargains for as he partners up with Ben Affleck’s character who is a wealthy businessman who makes money offshore illegally.
Having just spent the past few days losing in Atlantic City, the movie reminds me a little bit too much of real life.
