Electronic music’s most vocal act, deadmau5, has decided to invest his “EDM money” in building a 45,000 square foot studio complex for “actual musicians.” The legendary Mau5 recently moved from his apartment to a $5 million, 118-acre estate located in rural Ontario, Canada.

What will this mean? Well, from his tweet we understand that he’ll host less “club gigs” and fewer “epic stage shows,” at the price of a new location to collaborate with and grow artists. You can ask any music fan, that’s not a terrible trade off.
To be fair, we don’t know too much about this project just yet. Though, we’re hoping that a video series, similar to Joel’s coffee run, spawns out of this studio complex creation. It would be interesting to be able to peep into the every day life of up-and-coming artist that’s under deadmau5’s wing.
