Do you know what time it is? That’s right, it’s time again for, “Joel Zimmerman Trolls the World.” In this week’s edition, our favorite mau5 decides to troll the trance music genre, Armin van Buuren, and his “A State of Trance (ASOT)” radio show. Read below for the full chronology:

People often mistake deadmau5’s odd ways of having fun and self-amusement for being a bitter-hater. Sure, there are times where he’s flat out disrespecting a subject, but let’s quickly revisit urbandictionary’s top definition for “troll”:
Troll: One who posts a deliberately provacative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument.
Taking this into account, he’s clearly trolling in every sense of the word, and having a laugh while others become hot and bothered.
Still don’t believe he’s just trying to get a rise out of trance music lovers? He even changed his twitter bio to the “Lord of the Trance”:
All in all, the most interesting musical snippet comes from Armin’s response when he says, “Why don’t you come play ASOT#700? or backing out again?” This implies that deadmau5 was once slated to perform at an ASOT event, but then backed out.
Can you imagine the excitement in the dance music community if deadmau5 decided to spin at A State of Trance? However, we know this is a long shot since Joel’s ego won’t allow him to be a secondary act of any production. But hey, we can dream, right?

Just a note, Armin asked deadmau5 if he was backing out again, not because mau5 was invited to a ASOT event. Back in time, mau5 and Armin were meant to collaborate together but, while making it, Joel got bored from it and dropped, causing much of Armin’s disappoinment and resentment to Joel. That’s why the question.
