deadmau5 has reactivated his Soundcloud account which he famously suspended a few weeks ago. However, deadmau5 fans looking for new tracks shouldn’t look there just yet – or not in the way they would hope. Joel has reactivated his account solely to upload his own hardstyle take on his song “Some Chords” after hardstyle DJ/producer Wildstylez released his own “original” record that sounded eerily reminiscent to the aforementioned classic.
Joel, never shy of expressing his feelings and thoughts, has been met with hundreds of tweets from hardstyle fans defending their genre and DJs – and in true fashion, Joel has replied to many candidly and facetiously. While the song itself is certainly a farce, it appears that one of the most renowned hardstyle DJs, Headhunterz, is entertaining deadmau5 and his attempt to mock hardstyle. Headhunterz replied to him in the style of a meme rather than sincerely beginning a war of genres like fans appear to be doing. Listen to the retaliation track below.
