After much teasing and hinting, deadmau5 has finally announced that his new album is to be released “March-ish.” The two-disc album has been completed for a few months now and is set to release on the Astralwerks label. He reveals the album’s release date in an interview with the Edmonton journal, also stating the album will feature “a lot of new stuff.” It will be interesting to see how the album compares to his previous efforts given the constraints Ultra Records once placed upon his work.
The interview also included several remarks against fellow Canadian Justin Bieber, presumably due to Bieber’s recent DUI in Miami and its surrounding controversy. He called him an “idiot” and jokingly challenged him to a drag-race, one probably involving deadmau5’s recently decked-out “Purrari.” The mau5 perhaps summed it up best:
“Bieber! Yes, yes, yes, let’s talk about Bieber. Nobody talks about Bieber”
