Deadmau5 is one of my favorite artists, obviously because of his music, but also because he’s very honest with his fans. From lifting the curtain and unveiling how he produces his music to letting loose on his social media accounts, he’s always engaged with his following. His comments are both entertaining and food for thought and he always drives home a good point.
With that being said, recently the mau5 took to twitter and once again expressed his dislike for Ultra Records.
If you follow his SoundCloud page, elegantly titled FuckMyLife, you’d know that Joel has been working hard in the studio. He has new original previews up like “Monophobia”, “Suite 03”, “moog bass + modular”, and “Assume control” along side a very interesting collaboration with Kill The Noise titled “Killthemau5”. All of these work-in-progress records have been posted within the last month.
As you call tell from the tweet above, Zimmerman wants to unleash his new music on us. However he’ll be waiting until June 25th when his contract with Ultra runs out. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a flurry of deadmau5 releases at the beginning of July.
